Gladia, the Paris-based voice AI company, has been acquired by OVHcloud (Euronext Paris: OVH), the European leader in sovereign cloud and AI. The deal that was completed on 31 July 2026 following its announcement in June, sees Gladia's team and technology integrated into one of the continent's largest cloud platforms.

Launched in 2022, Gladia was built on a simple conviction: that the world's audio should be as searchable and useful as its text. Its platform turns live and recorded speech into structured, actionable data through a single API, transcribing conversations in real time across more than 100 languages. That approach has won it a following of over 300,000 developers and 2,000 enterprise customers, from fast-growing AI products to established software businesses.

For OVHcloud, the acquisition deepens a growing investment in multimodal and agentic AI. By bringing Gladia's speech-to-text capabilities in-house, the group can offer native voice AI services across its OVHcloud and OVHai platforms and reinforce its AI Lab, which is working to build the next generation of sovereign, European-owned AI. For Gladia, it means the scale, distribution and infrastructure to take its technology considerably further.
