Second Front has appointed Cody Barrow as Head of EMEA (General Manager), strengthening its international leadership team as the company looks to build and scale its presence across Europe and allied markets. 

Second Front is a defence technology company building the infrastructure that enables governments and their partners to securely deploy commercial software into regulated and mission-critical environments. Its Game Warden platform standardises the complex processes required to configure, accredit, secure and operate software across cloud, on-premise and edge environments, helping reduce the time and complexity between software development and operational deployment.

Cody joins following nearly seven years at EclecticIQ, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director. There, he led a European cybersecurity company serving national government agencies, critical infrastructure operators, financial institutions and global enterprises across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. Prior to becoming CEO, Cody held leadership roles spanning strategy, intelligence and product at EclecticIQ. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at Recorded Future (Acquired) and Fannie Mae, where he built and led the organisation’s threat intelligence capability.

Before moving into the private sector, Cody spent a decade within the U.S. Intelligence Community, including as a founding member of U.S. Cyber Command, where he helped establish its intelligence function and later its first overseas cyber intelligence component in Afghanistan. His experience spans some of the highest levels of national security, including supporting senior U.S. defence and government decision-makers on cyber, intelligence and strategic programmes.

His appointment brings together deep national security expertise, European technology leadership and end-to-end general management experience as Second Front looks to turn growing demand across UK Defence, NATO and the wider European defence ecosystem into a scaled regional business.
