Faraday Partners Facilitates Konstantin Koenig's Appointment as Principal at Illuminate Financial

Illuminate Financial, a leading thesis-led investor that focuses on transformative themes that impact financial services (Climate Tech and Sustainable Finance, Digital Assets and Enterprise Tech and AI), has appointed Konstantin Koenig as Principal. This strategic hire was facilitated by Faraday Partners, with Managing Partners Nick Fairclough leading the search and supported by Analyst William Batt. Konstantin’s consistent professional growth throughout his career as well as a strong investment track record in the FinTech and B2B software space made him the star candidate throughout the hiring process.

Konstantin joins Illuminate Financial from Frog Capital. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role as a board member for various portfolio companies, advising on strategic direction and scaling operations. Before his success at Frog Capital, Konstantin was an M&A Associate at FT Partners, where he worked across M&A (both buy-side and sell-side), equity financings and leveraged buyouts. He was involved in all aspects of transactions from origination to completion and worked on 10 successful transactions such as Bitpanda, Revolut and Ebury. He also gained valuable experience in technology, media, and telecom (TMT) banking at Woodside Capital Partners.

At Illuminate Financial, Konstantin will focus on identifying and scaling fintech innovators at the growth stage. Working with Series B+ companies that are at the centre of innovation in B2B SaaS and Fintech globally. His deep understanding of the financial technology landscape and hands-on approach to guiding portfolio companies will strengthen Illuminate Financial’s position as a trusted partner for startups transforming the financial services sector.
